My name is Jan Plume, and I offer EFT in conjunction with hypnotherapy services. EFT is based on traditional Chinese acupressure, which claims our bodies are full of energy (Qi) that flows through specific pathways called meridians. Negative emotions and past traumas can create energetic blockages that impact your health and wellbeing. EFT practitioners will teach the client how to lightly tap acccupressure points along these meridians to help release blockages.
Have you got anxiety, an unresolved problem, or fear? I will ask you to give the emotion a Subjective Units of Distress (SUD) rating from zero to 100, so I can measure the effectiveness of my techniques. You’ll then concentrate on accepting or resolving the negative emotion while saying several affirmations. Simultaneously, I will teach you to use your fingertips to tap five to seven times on each meridian while regularly checking in with your SUD rating to see how we’re tracking.
There are 12 major meridians, each corresponding to a different organ. EFT only focuses on nine of them. According to Gary Craig, who developed EFT in the 1990s, tapping places kinetic energy into these meridians and restores balance.
